Educating impoverished people in the Peruvian Amazon River Basin

Iquitos, Peru is the largest city in the Peruvian Amazon River Basin, located deep in the Rainforests of northern Peru near the headwaters of the Amazon. The Malpartida family have been educating impoverished children for more than 20 years. Starting with a little more than a dozen children in a dirt floor classroom, the school now provides educational opportunity to over 500 students with two campuses, strategically placed within the city to minimize transportation challenges for students.
