Our Rotary Diamond Raffle diamond comes to us from Elliott's Jewelers - Huntsville, TX Elliott obtained it for us from Fischler Diamonds in Antwerp, Belgium. Antwerp is the diamond capital of the world. Elliott provides the diamond at cost and also donates a $2,500 gift certificate for a custom setting for the diamond. He is a longtime Rotarian in Texas and Tennessee. He and his wife Alisa hope to join us for Casino Night on Feb 28 when the winner of the diamond raffle will be drawn. Tickets are $100 and only 150 tickets are being sold.
Last year's diamond raffle funded multiple donations for food programs including gifts to School Fuel San Marcos and Rise Against Hunger which sent food packaged in San Marcos to needy children and new moms in Honduras. It also paid for school supplies for some nonprofits in San Marcos and eight rural villages in Northern Mexico. The diamond would be great to win but the underlying goal is community service.
