Eloise Hudson speaks about CASA at Rotary on July 21

CASA of Central Texas advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system by recruiting, training and supporting community volunteers. CASA is the only program from which a judge can select a local volunteer to appoint as an advocate for a child who has been removed from their home and needs additional support while navigating through the foster care system.

CASA of Central Texas was established in 1985 and supports children and volunteers in Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Hays Counties. In 2020, CASA served 600 children (roughly 54% of children in State Care) with 267 volunteers.

Eloise Hudson has been with CASA of Central Texas for 13 years as the Communications Manager. Her role is to get CASA’s message out to the community to help recruit more volunteers and find other ways to support the program. She has served as an advocate on two cases but is taking time off as a volunteer to focus on her own two children. Rotarian Seth Worley serves on the board of directors of CASA.
