Jennifer Whitcomb becomes Secretary of the Rotary Club of San Marcos on July 1, 2023, for the 2023-2024 Rotary year. She has been a Rotarian for six years, including four years in Salisbury Maryland, and two in San Marcos. She expects to become a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow in March 2023.
 
Jennifer was the Director of Finance for Texas State Independent Living Council (2017-2023), the executive director for Deaf Independent living Association (2006-2015) and executive director for Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired (1999-2006. She now serves as the Finance Director for Waterloo Greenway Conservancy.
 
Jennifer served as a member of several Boards including Rehabilitation Advisory Councils for the states of Maryland, Georgia, and Tennessee. Her advocacy efforts were instrumental in several legislative initiatives. In Georgia, she helped pass legislation supporting the Telecommunication Equipment Distribution Program, a $3M project funded by a surcharge on landline phone usage.
 
Jennifer has a master’s degree from Texas State University in Public Administration. She also has a master’s degree from San Diego State University in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton.
 
Jennifer has a daughter, Aubrie, who is pursuing her undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno.
