Rotary San Marcos is hosting a Pints for Polio event on Wednesday, October 2 from 4:30 - 7 p.m. at Zelick's Ice House, 336 W. Hopkins St.
Zelick's is making a donation to Polio, and attendees will be invited to make voluntary contributions.
All of the money raised will be sent to the Rotary Foundation to support their End Polio Now projects worldwide.
Many of you may know that Rotary and other world health organizations have mobilized in Gaza to deal with cases of wild polio there and are busy vaccinating children. They also continue their work to end polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan, the two countries that had been the last to report polio cases.
Come enjoy a cool beverage and share fellowship while helping to end polio.
