Rotary District 5840 Installs Peace Pole

(from left) Rotary District 5840 Governor Kristen Salazar, former District Governor Monica Gutierrez and Neil Lewis, Academic and Program Coordinator of the San Antonio Peace Center stand beside the newly installed Peace Pole at Northwest Vista College. The Peace Pole was installed on World Peace Day, September 21. It is one of 250,000 Peace Poles around the world. Salazar said “installing the peace pole today was more than just a symbol of peace locally. The peace pole installed at the Northwest Vista campus is going to be the start of a compassion corridor that leads from San Antonio down to Monterey, Mexico.”
