The San Marcos Rotary Club presented a check for $3,000 to the Rotary Foundation at its meeting today. The money will be matched 2 to 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, so a total of $9,000 will benefit Rotary's worldwide commitment to eradicating polio. The funds were raised at a "Pints for Polio" fundraiser at AquaBrew Brewery, who donated the beer for the event.
