On Wed., May 6 at noon our virtual meeting of the San Marcos Rotary Club will focus on international service. This will be a ZOOM meeting. Much of the meeting will just be social to see how one another are doing, but we will also brainstorm for ideas about what international service our club might anticipate doing in the future. I hope some long time members will attend the meeting to share what we have done in the past.

The six areas of service in which Rotary clubs have traditionally focused their attention and resources:

1. Promote peace.
2. Fight disease (Polio Plus).
3. Help fund or create clean water, sanitation and hygiene systems.
4. Saving mothers and children.
5. Supporting education. (A project of ours a couple of years ago provided scholarships to children in Honduras so kids could go to school past Grade 6).
6. Growing local economies.

What else have we done and can celebrate? What might we do in the future?
