Site to volunteer or donate to this event http://events.riseagainsthunger.org/sanmarcos2022 The Rotary Club of San Marcos Texas USA will sponsor its second Rise Against Hunger event on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9-12. We will purchase and package almost 15,000 meal packets for shipment to famine stricken people overseas. Last year the meals went to Burundi, East Africa. Rotary needs more than 150 volunteers and small or large cash donations for this effort. In addition to Rise Against Hunger, San Marcos Rotary this year is raising funds to benefit the Hays Food Bank and San Marcos School Fuel. Donations of food or cash would be much appreciated for these efforts too. So many volunteers helped in 2021 that the food packaging only took a little over an hour. Volunteers can be young and old. The Rotary Club of San Marcos is hosting a Casino Night fundraiser on Saturday, March 4 at 7-11 p.m. The event will be held at the Commemorative Air Force Centex Wing, 1841 Airport Rd Bldg 2249 San Marcos, TX 78666. The facility houses a collection of WW2 aircraft that are still air worthy and an Air Force Museum. It will be an opportunity to have fun, fundraise, and enjoy a fascinating historical facility. The club urgently needs silent auction items and major sponsors.
